Job Summary: The MIS Software Analyst will ensure that software, applications, data and information required by all stakeholders is available, and working as specified. The purpose of this role also include the analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of application errors and problems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and analyze systems that are to be used by the employees and the managers of the company.
- Develop strategies that are to be used in implementation of software and hardware systems in the organization.
- Look after the maintenance of the computer systems and make sure that all the departments are functioning properly.
- Collect necessary specifications for each department and make sure that their requirements are met.
- Look after the purchase of the software and hardware systems and plan proper budget and quotations for the systems.
- Provide training and necessary assistance for the employees involved in implementation and maintenance of the software systems.
- Perform periodic maintenance and servicing of MIS system to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor MIS performance regularly to avoid unplanned outages and down times.
- Provide customer support for Application issues, network problems and software installations.
- Plan and manage upgrades of hardware and software systems.
- Track and monitor security of hardware and software systems.
- Recommend and implement new technology solutions to improve productivity.
- Develop and implement MIS policies to ensure data accuracy and security.
- Develop and implement standardized MIS procedures across all business applications.
- Develop process improvements for increased efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Managing Databases, carrying out data analytics and reporting systems to ensure that the business can make data-driven decisions.
- Develop a continuous evaluation and improvement of all MIS processes and systems to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and agility within the organisation.
- Keeping up-to-Date with the latest technologies, methodologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations within the MIS domain
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other related field.
- Certification in ITIL Foundation or PMP.
- Seven years of experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
