Job Summary: As the Instruments Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating and repairing the instruments and equipment in the factory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain electrical and electronic systems, encompassing instrumentation, control systems, and industrial automation.
- Design and test electronic circuits and systems to meet customer specifications, product requirements, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic and electrical systems into product designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to electrical and electronic systems, including PLC, APC, DCS, SCADA, and control processes.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards in system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Maintain technical documentation and provide training to team members as necessary.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends to enhance processes and products.
- Test solid-state circuitry to identify and replace defective components in analog and digital equipment.
- Install upgrades to electrical systems in accordance with international standards.
- Implement necessary changes while preserving system integrity.
- Design and modify motor power control apparatus circuits.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Coordinate activities with various electrical sections.
- Plan and issue work orders using blueprints and sketches.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for proposed systems, including equipment selection.
- Handle and troubleshoot high voltage transmission circuits effectively.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or relevant fields.
- At least five years of experience in a production/manufacturing facility, with preferred experience in Husky, Sacmi, Sidel, and Flexible Plastic Packaging machines.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and/or engineering principles and techniques.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Proficient in electronic circuit design, simulation, and testing software.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Flexible to working in shifts.
