Hive Colab is a collaborative technology and business Development space for IT professionals & entrepreneurs across Uganda. Founded in 2010 as part of the Appfrica Labs’ software incubation initiative, it is currently home to over 10,000 members, over 50 social tech and business enterprises have been created in the last 3 years and supported by Hive Colab through economic empowerment.
Hive Colab is a key player in local capacity building, generating jobs, and enhancing access to capital while promoting innovation through collaborative efforts, nurturing a thriving tech ecosystem in Uganda. With a commitment to leveraging technology in partnership with the private sector, government, and civil society, it aims to address societal and economic issues, particularly in areas like Business, Education, Agriculture, Healthcare, Governance, and Finance, fostering positive social change.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should be an experienced Community Lead with the ability to manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of activities and teams.
- The position will require regular travel to communities within the assigned portfolio.
- Candidate must provide competent and effective leadership, which will ensure the growth and success of the communities as well as the teams, while also maximizing the overall operating performance and effectiveness of the assigned portfolio.
- The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of proven multi-site management.
