Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist all engineering functions and contractors to ensure compliance to all project requirements including schedule, budget, quality and HSSEQ to meet all design requirements.
- Identify and resolve all technical issues on retail projects and ensure efficient interpretation of all design drawings and quality control tests on projects.
- Conducting site visits (regular inspection of project works to ensure compliance), monitoring schedules, supervising technicians, monitoring expenditure, mitigating risk, ensuring compliance, evaluating environmental impact, and drafting progress reports.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Ensuring project delivery in time, safely, with the right quality and cost.
- Oversight and reporting on project progress.
- Resolving or escalating issues affecting project delivery
- HSSE management and reporting
- Preparing project completion and commissioning reports to VE requirement
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree in Civil Engineering or Building & Construction Engineering.
- Experience with hands on Project Management is an added advantage
- Good communications skills, Report writing and presentation.
- Ability to use Engineering drawing Software, read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge and experience with the petroleum retail business is an added advantage
- Flexible and able to handle and deliver under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
