Job Summary: The Local Area Representative will drive sales volume and market share growth through increased Geographic coverage and outlet penetration with improved RTC and better return on cost per outlet serviced.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
STOCKIST OR WAREHOUSE (Plan and Manage)
- Generate demand at retailer.
- Fast track introduction of new products and slow-moving SKUs.
- Identify and communicate gaps in RD/Reseller coverage.
- Monitor RD delivery against tele sales plan.
- Monitor and Drive price compliance to retail.
- Capture accurate market data through daily trade calls.
MARKET(Execute) To Reseller:
- Support in optimizing stock holding for STK.
- Drive digital transformation. Bees and Market place buyers.
- Support on managing NBL deliveries to the STK where applicable.
- Implement basic merchandising.
- Reduce average cost per call.
- Eliminate time currently wasted in rep commuting applicable in urban centre but not applicable in rural areas.
- Increase sales through higher outlet coverage, more frequent calls.
- Manage better portfolio depth of availability, higher focus on demand generation.
- Identify and report the actions taken by the competition to better plan and act on the market.
STOCKIST OR WAREHOUSE (Monitor and Evaluate) To Retailer
- Implement the IRVP and “gets”
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should have relevant qualifications
- One to two years of Sales & Marketing experience in the Soft Drinks or FMCG Industry.
- Good knowledge of distribution processes, costs, optimization solutions.
- Good knowledge of distributors’ environment in allocated area.
- Budgeting and process techniques know-how.
- Commercial competence.
- Driver’s License.
- Orientated to team and success.
- Motivate team members.
- Good negotiator.
- Good communications skills, both verbal & written.
- Leadership.
- Setting right priorities.
