Client Brief
Our client is a manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Job Summary: The Laboratory Chemist will be in charge of material testing and diagnosis in accordance with the set quality standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain good working conditions of equipment and tools.
- Ensure good storage and monitoring of representative samples.
- Undertake chemical tests on leady oxide, residual lead, etc.
- Carry out and correct sample preparations and metal alloy analysis using OES, AAS, ICP.
- Routine sampling and testing of treated wastewater quality
- Compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Preparation of daily, weekly test reports.
- Carry out internal calibration of all equipment in the laboratory.
- Inspection of received raw material (battery scrap and plate scrap) .
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Science Laboratory, Industrial Chemistry Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering
- A minimum of one year of experience
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, EOHS guidelines, Kaizen and Cleaner Technology
- Experience with HACCP, PDCA and Kaizen 5s
- Material storage
- Laboratory and trouble shooting skills
- Analytical and Interpretation of laboratory results
- Communication and decision making skills
- Planning and organizing skills
- Analytical and Interpretation of laboratory results
