Job Title:    Electrical Engineer (Fresher Jobs)

About US:

Kampala Capital City Authority is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible to the Supervisor Electrical Services for performing the following duties:-

• Implementing work processes and procedures, standards and specifications database as a way of adopting a Quality Management System;
• Executing electrical related works and ensuring timely deliverables, cost tolerances and Quality of workmanship;
• Ensuring proper operation and maintenance of KCCA electrical installations and updating the maintenance database;
• Assisting in compilation of equipment specifications and performing of conformity acceptance tests for electrical equipment;
• Supervising contractors and suppliers during electrical installations, development servicing and maintenance drills for quality conformity and adhering to set engineering standards;
• Implementing and monitoring both scheduled and preventive maintenance programs so as to ensure cost effective maintenance;
• Preparing and submitting regular electrical installations and equip status reports to the Supervisor Electrical Services;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University / Institution. Possession of a formal qualification in Applied Engineering, or Certificate of Competency in Practical Engineering for Energy Efficiency will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience in Automobile Maintenance in a reputable organization
• Age: 25 years and above
