Job Summary: The Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of internal and external communication strategies on behalf of the bank across different platforms, as well as delivering its Corporate Social Responsibility agenda.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a robust communications strategy which will bolster the bank’s brand, image and reputation through consistent messaging and innovative communication methodologies.
  • Oversee all internal and external communications for the bank, ensuring its message is consistent and engaging.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Create style guides and brand voice outlines for all public relations, marketing, and advertising materials.
  • Deliver internal and external communications and messages through different communication channels and modalities such as but not limited to the company’s website, social media, newsletters, press releases, publications, online events, etc.
  • Oversee the bank’s social media content, strategy and communications.
  • Lead creation of video and audio content to support the bank’s communications strategy.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in communications/ journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Professional qualification in CIM/CIPR is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of five years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in marketing with a bias to PR, Communication and Media Management.
  • A confident communicator and presenter
  • Knowledge of the Bank’s Policies, Processes and Procedures relating to communication and Brand management.
  • Knowledge of the Bank’s business model, its strategy and all of its products and services.
  • Good sense of customer behaviour and solid grasp and interpretation of the market environment.
