About Graduate Trainee Program:
The purpose of the Graduate Trainee Program is to prepare and orient Ugandan graduates towards developing their skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to make them effective employees, when they secure employment. The program will run for 11 months where successful candidates will undergo various types of training in Monitoring and Evaluation, Finance and Operations Departments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and direct Visitors.
- Receive Utility bills, analyze them for correctness and process them.
- Office and Premises Management.
- Handling Petty Cash Processing.
- Assist the supervisor in Management of the Store and Stock.
- Any other Duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Process basic payments.
- Carry out Bank reconciliations.
- Assist in Payroll Processing.
- Assist in Journal Processing.
- Assist in Statutory Reporting.
- Support conducting of Audits (internal and External).
- Ensure that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People is fully embedded in his or her work (applies to all Interns).
- Any other duties as may be assigned to you by your supervisor (applies to all Interns).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Economics and Statistics, Actuarial Science, Commerce, Business Administration- Accounting, Science in Accounting, Finance and Accounting, Project Management, Social Work and Social Administration, Development Studies, Community Psychology, Public Health, Demography & Reproductive Health or related field.
- Must have acquired at least a Second-Class upper degree from a recognized University or institution.
- Should have Graduated between the years 2020 and 2024 with a transcript available.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent Customer service skills
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to work in a Team Setting
- Openness to learning
- Excellent writing skills
