Job Summary: The Venture Pipeline Development Lead will play a crucial role in developing and supporting a pipeline of high-potential tech startups. The ideal candidate will leverage their unique experience in the venture capital ecosystem, including a background in engineering and hands-on experience with startups, to offer comprehensive support and training to budding entrepreneurs. This role requires a dynamic individual who can connect the dots between technology, innovation, and investment to foster growth within the tech startup community.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop tech startup venture pipeline from tech communities and universities.
- Provide comprehensive support to tech startups.
- Create and deliver innovation and entrepreneurship training and content.
- Build partnerships with universities and establish VC investor connections.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in the venture capital ecosystem, including direct involvement with startups.
- Background in engineering, providing a strong foundation in technology and innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the tech and investment communities.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Experience in creating and delivering entrepreneurship training programs.
- Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in the tech startup landscape in Uganda and the broader African context.
