CorpsAfrica was founded in 2011 by former Peace Corps Volunteer Liz Fanning with the idea of turning community development in Africa over to local changemakers. During her own service, Liz was approached by young Moroccans who wanted to be Peace Corps Volunteers so they could help people in their own country, but she had to tell them it was only for Americans.

 

Job Summary:   The M&E and Impact Evaluation Officer for CorpsAfrica performs a variety of highly responsible and confidential managerial and administrative duties for the Country Director.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be knowledgeable about and carry out policies, systems, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations of the organization.
  • Provide Project Management and support to Volunteers in the field and to the country office
  • Maintained records and archives, and prepared minutes and reports.
  • Create monthly/quarterly/annual reports on Volunteer activity.
  • Visit projects in the field with routine travel to all Volunteer sites.
  • Revise, adapt, and create M&E tools and implement them Provide structure and motivational strategies so that Volunteers comply with all reporting requirements on time and with impeccable accuracy.
  • Support Volunteers with project monitoring and evaluation, data collection, and reporting of projects.
  • Develop clear and concise methods for interpreting the data gathered to a variety of audiences including donors, management, as well as the public.
  • Maintain records and archives, and prepare minutes, surveys, and reports.
  • Create data reports monthly, quarterly, and annually for the Country Director.
  • Knowledge of software for data analysis
  • Other responsibilities as requested by the Director.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in monitoring and evaluation or related courses and at least three years of professional experience
  • Extremely detail-oriented, results-oriented, and organized
  • A passion and commitment to youth leadership, participatory community development, impact evaluation, transparency, and accountability
  • Excellent speaking, writing, presentation, and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and all Google Docs)
  • Impeccable integrity, judgment, and discretion along with a professional demeanor and personal style that elicits trust
  • A demonstrable understanding of (country) laws and the government administrations
  • Fluency in English is required
