Job Summary: The Management Accountant advises management, providing financial information and recommendations that helps the company make sound business decisions. The role is diverse and includes but not limited to analyzing trends, forecasting future performance, risk analysis, develop and implement strategies to reduce operational and production costs. We are seeking a highly capable management accountant to optimize our financial management policies. You will be performing financial analysis, preparing financial forecasts, and advising senior management on strategic planning.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gathering and interpreting information to evaluate the efficiency of financial procedures.
- Analysing key financial data and advising senior management on strategic planning.
- Developing and implementing cost-effective financial policies and procedures, as well as mitigating financial risks.
- Preparing financial reports and budgets, as well as controlling and forecasting income and expenditure.
- Conduct risk assessment and advise on ways to minimize risk
- Overseeing accounting procedures and supervising junior financial department staff.
- Monitoring auditing and taxation practices.
- Ensuring that financial management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards.
- Performing financial recordkeeping, as well as protecting sensitive and confidential information.
- Keeping informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in management accounting
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Auditing, or another relevant field
- Professional qualification such as ACCA. CMA (PREFFERED)
- Proven experience as a management Accountant.
- A minimum of five years of experience as a management accountant in FMCG, QSR a related business.
- Sold knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
- Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- Computer literacy in Me office, advanced excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of financial software like SAP, SAGE
- Analytical mind with aptitude in math
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A problem-solver with attention to detail
- Organizational and leadership skills.
