About US:
Graphic Systems Uganda is the largest printing & packaging company in Uganda. It supplies indoor and outdoor print advertising collateral, commercial printing, cartons, labels and promotional items. In addition the company manufactures corporate wear and garments.
Job Summary: The primary objective of the employee is to oversee and manage all aspects of the company’ IT. The employee will be responsible for managing the technology systems that the company uses to maintain computer and software networks.
He/she must be a dedicated and goal-oriented professional with extensive technical skills and eager to apply his/her experience towards supporting company goals with the tech industry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.
- Manage and maintain the organization’s outsourced software’s like ERP, ensuring its smooth operation and optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring the stability and security of the company’s IT infrastructure.
- Conduct hardware repair and maintenance activities, including diagnosing and replacing faulty components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions and enhancements.
- Stay updated on the latest IT trends and technologies to recommend improvements and optimizations.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Qualification: Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
- Citizenship: Any (Women are encouraged to apply)
- Linguistic skills: Fluent in English (written & verbal).
- Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Age: At least 30 -35 years old
- Remuneration: Negotiable
- Contract Type: Full Time
- Proven experience in ERP administration, network management, and hardware repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of data security and cyber security best practices is an added advantage.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving within a Windows and/or Mac environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proactive mind-set with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks while sticking to deadlines.
- Ability to identify problems before they arise and analyse data to extract information.
