Job Summary: The Stores Officer will be coordinating inventory management activities and ensuring that optimal levels of inventory are maintained in accordance with quality and quantity standards. Tracking inventory records and ensuring accurate reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Timely process payments for; TV subscription, NW&SC, UMEME/WENRECO.
- Prepare and follow up on Form 5 requisitions, referencing the stationery needs identified by stationery champions, to ensure the timely supply and delivery of all pre-printed and general stationery items, while mitigating the risks associated with stockouts.
- Attend to stores related issues in service desk.
- Prepare and ensure monthly stock counts is carried out with Finance department and compile relevant expense report.
- Prepare monthly reports on inventory requisitions, purchases, distributions, stock balances and advise on obsolete stocks for disposal, running low stocks and over stocked items.
- Coordinate quarterly performance appraisal meetings online /physical with key suppliers, annual for non-key suppliers.
- Submission of monthly inventory reports every 1st of the new month to line supervisor for review and consolidation.
- Any other duties assigned from time to time.
- Effectively manage all inventory contracts for stamps, pens, toners archival boxes, ATM rolls, printed and general stationery, registers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration or any relevant field.
- Prior experience in inventory management, stock control, or related roles is highly valued.
- Demonstrate collaborative work style, strong leadership skills and should have the ability to take proper decision and action whenever any difficult situation arises.
- The ability to communicate clearly in a professional manner is essential.
- Ability to demonstrate positive image and role model PBU’s values and leadership behaviours.
- Must be a person of impeccable integrity.
