Job Summary: The Sales Professional – Tyres is responsible for promoting/driving sale of Tyres in the field. The primary duties and responsibilities of the Sales Professional – Tyres include:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sell tyres in line with the set budget.
- Keep abreast of market developments and trends, market analysis i.e. market analysis feedback
- Customer database management by ensuring customer database for Tyres Sales is updated, review customer information periodically.
- Monitor and measure performance against forecast / budget.
- Maintain and build relationships with Key Customers
- Discuss ideas and opinions with customers to satisfy their needs, attend to technical queries, and recommend solutions
- Monitor and analyze our performance against competition.
- Monitor to identify new trends and development, so that prompt action can be taken to align to market or avert problem areas.
- Monthly and weekly activity reporting describing sales progress, i.e. how much has been sold, how much hopes to sell, results from the visits, visits made etc.
- Ensure all quotations are consistently followed up with the aim of closing the sale.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: At a minimum, the Sales Professional – Tyres’ Business should have the following qualifications:
- At least advanced a Diploma/Degree in a business-related field with at least 2 years’ experience in Tyres Business.
- Product knowledge is must i.e. various Tyres with understanding of Tyres performance and specifications and vehicle specifications i.e. type of tyres/rims requirements.
- Customer relations skills
- Sales skills
- High degree of integrity
- Self-starter with ability to work under minimum supervision
- Communication skills in person, in writing, and over the telephone
- Basic business math skills
