Job Summary: The Relationship Officer will collect information, perform data entry, analyze risk factors to determine the cost and benefit ratio associated with insuring prospective clients as well as supporting the underwriting process for claims by maintaining accurate records and modifying existing policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring operational efficiency and excellence by managing client expectations and service requirements
- Timely follow up on policy renewals, maintenance and servicing.
- Coordinate quotation requests in liaison with Actuarial Department.
- Coordinate Scheme Renewals and invitation as they fall due. Prepare renewal reports/documentation.
- Monthly production of debits and credits
- Policy maintenance, monitoring additions and deletions
- Account manager for assigned clients
- Marketing and product presentation
- Preparation of various underwriting reports i.e. quarterly claims analysis reports, calculating loss ratio per client to establish their performance prior to renewal
- Quarterly production of member statements
- Accurate set up of scheme limits and premium rates in ACTI SURE
- Set up and management of membership details in ACTI SURE
- Handling of coverage enquiries with brokers, members, claims team, service providers etc
- Timely preparation of quotations in line with set service standards
- Preparation of medical photo cards for all eligible members
- Handling queries from all walk-in clients, brokers, agents
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and timely feedback to queries
- Carry out Client and broker visits
- Putting together tender documentation
- Reviewing individual insured utilization
- Maintenance of membership data base in ACTI SURE
- Broker/customer management
- Preparation of policy documents and endorsements
- Client presentations
- Supporting during Audit periods
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or any Business – Related Field.
- Certificate in Insurance is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the MS Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- One year of experience in Insurance.
