Job Title: Third Party Risk officer (Procurement Officer)

Uganda Airlines is the flag carrier of Uganda. The company is a revival of the older Uganda Airlines which operated from 1977 until 2001. It began flying in August 2019.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the senior management to support them in the delivery of PDU-related responsibilities.
- Creates and builds function-level senior management stakeholder relationships, influences ground decision-making to ensure that sourcing is managed in compliance with PPDA standards, and is an escalation point for problem-solving relating to regulatory guidelines.
- Guides Business Stakeholders through third-party risk management decision-making processes.
- Ensure the business communicates and understands the intrinsic business value of the PDU third-party risk management Framework.
- Guides PDU process, systems, policy, and procedure
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of approach as it relates to vendor engagements
- Is an escalation path for vendor performance observations and works with business partners and vendors to resolve issues.
- Plays a key role in developing reporting for third-party risk management as the risk landscape shifts.
- Improves data quality by collaborating with stakeholders.
- Assist in effective governance and controls for supplier risk management across the organization, and manage the vendor and contract management framework.
- Ensure that the categorization of vendors is followed and risk management of the same is adhered to as per the policy framework.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Risk Management, Economics or Business Administration.
- At least three years of working experience in procurement/contract risk management.
- Relevant experience in stakeholder management
- Good working knowledge of contracts & familiarity with legal agreements
