Job Summary:   Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit a dynamic and competent individual to fill the position of Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) Field Officer based in in Fort Portal with frequent travels within project districts (Kyegegwa, Kasese and Kabarole) and regions (Kampala, Busoga and West Nile).

The Social Behaviour Change Communication Field Officer will contribute to the effective and efficient roll out of the social behaviour change component of WeWork Albertine/Rwenzori project.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Joining Enabel as an SBCC field Officer, you will be directly reporting to the Project Manager and you will perform the following key tasks;

• You contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual SBCC work plans.
• You lead the implementation of SBCC work plans in the region of operation.
• Together with the District Community Development Office, you lead the pretesting of SBCC solutions.
• You review the work of grantees and contractors to ensure quality and value for money.
• You contribute to the preparation of technical specifications for SBCC tenders.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Social Work or any other related fields.
• A specialised training in Social Behaviour Change Communication is an added advantage.
• At least three years of proven experience in planning, designing and implementing social behaviour change programmes.
• At least 3 years proven experience in managing and implementing comprehensive, evidence based, community led and context specific SBCC programmes.
• Knowledgeable about community involvement in Social Behaviour Change Communication interventions.
• Experience implementing social behaviour change initiatives especially targeting education or employment issues.
• Knowledgeable about change theories.

• A salary package comprising an Annual gross salary between UGX 84,000,000 and UGX 96,000,000 that is commensurate with experience and in accordance with our salary scales, medical insurance and a 13th-month paid in December.
