Job Summary: The Assistant Accountant will provide essential support to the accounts and finance team in general, providing day-to-day support spanning the various financial duties:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of invoices and receipts
- Daily posting of Transactions to the ERP system
- Periodic Account and General Ledger reconciliations
- Verification of account balances to rectify inconsistencies in financial records.
- Closing of finance related tickets
- Assisting in creation of financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay-orders, payables, receivables, and purchase orders.
- Preparation and presentation of reports of financial activities
- Assisting with general accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
- Coordination of procurement activities
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field
- CPA Certification is a plus
- One year of experience in money management
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly with Excel
- Knowledge of accepted accounting principles and practices, QuickBooks, ERP
- Rapid response time
- Good planning, research and organizational skills
