Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Process invoices, receipts, and expense forms in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and financial statements.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to financial policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are met.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with accounting software and MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance standards in Uganda.
