About US:
Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute (UWRTI) is a semi-autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, established by Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute Act, 2016. The Institute is mandated to: “Undertake research and training services for sustainable conservation and management of Uganda’s wildlife resources.’’
Job Summary: The Driver will provide secure and timely driving services to staff and or goods
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transports Institute staff, guests and goods
- Carries out vehicle maintenance checks.
- Delivers packages to designated destinations.
- Picks up office purchases or other administrative needs.
- Ensures that vehicles have sufficient fuel and are always ready for use
- Arranges for vehicle repairs when necessary
- Updates routine mileage records
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an O’ level certificate
- For heavy field trooper a certificate in Wildlife and Natural Resources Management or Wildlife Tourism Management is a must.
- Valid driving license
- You must have undergone a competence driving test
- At least one year of driving experience.
- Not above 55 years
- Be a citizen of Uganda with a valid national identity card
