Job Title:  Driver (3 Fresher O’ Level Positions)

About US:

Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute (UWRTI) is a semi-autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, established by Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute Act, 2016. The Institute is mandated to: “Undertake research and training services for sustainable conservation and management of Uganda’s wildlife resources.’’

 

Job Summary:  The Driver will provide secure and timely driving services to staff and or goods

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transports Institute staff, guests and goods
  • Carries out vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Delivers packages to designated destinations.
  • Picks up office purchases or other administrative needs.
  • Ensures that vehicles have sufficient fuel and are always ready for use
  • Arranges for vehicle repairs when necessary
  • Updates routine mileage records




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold an O’ level certificate
  • For heavy field trooper a certificate in Wildlife and Natural Resources Management or Wildlife Tourism Management is a must.
  • Valid driving license
  • You must have undergone a competence driving test
  • At least one year of driving experience.
  • Not above 55 years
  • Be a citizen of Uganda with a valid national identity card
