About US Embassy:
The United States Embassy in Kampala, Uganda has enjoyed diplomatic relations with Uganda for over 30 years. Ambassador Natalie E. Brown currently heads the U.S Mission to Uganda. The Mission is composed of several offices and organizations all working under the auspices of the Embassy and at the direction of the Ambassador.
Among the offices operating under the U.S Mission to Uganda are:
- United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
- Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
- Peace Corps
Job Summary: The NXP Storekeeper (Non Expendable Property Storekeeper) is responsible for direct supervision of fourteen non-expendable property staff and oversees the receipt, storage and issuance of non expendable property. Incumbent develops daily work plans and assigns work to staff. Monitors inventory levels against Post’s replacement schedule and coordinates with the NEPA section to verify property descriptions. Decides adequate storage space from NXP warehouse items and performs residential property inventories. Incumbent’s work area is located in the warehouse and reports to the Property Management Supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- The applicants for the United States US Embassy NXP Storekeeper (Non Expendable Property Storekeeper) job should have completed secondary school (both O and A’ Level). Required.
- At least three years of experience in store keeping/property and supply management, two years of which are at a supervisory level, is required.
- Excellent working knowledge and understanding of current store management regulations and guidelines relevant to storage, supply, inventory taking and disposal is required.
- Ability to use computers and standard MS applications and programs is required.
- Must posses a valid driver’s license, and have ability to operate hand power tools and drive a forklift. “This may be tested”
- Language: Good working knowledge and ability to speak and read/write English (Level III) is required. “This may be tested”
