Job Summary: Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda Limited is a subsidiary of CCBA. we are currently seeking to recruit Utilities Operators based in Kampala. As a Utilities Operator, you will report directly to the Utilities Controller. The primary role of the Utilities Operator is to operate and monitor the Utilities equipment according to work instructions and carry out routine maintenance when required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating equipment in the utility area according to the work instructions and adhering to usage standards.
- Support shift-based teams with situational problem-solving.
- Constantly review process performance of utility equipment against target and complete all short interval control documentation.
- Performing housekeeping tasks, applying 5S principles, and following safe work practices. Unsafe work practices must be identified and corrected.
- Responding rapidly to problems that result in stoppages. Appropriate problem-solving approaches (e.g., 5Y, quick fix routines, etc.), as detailed in the problem-solving work practice must be followed.
- Assisting fellow team members in the execution of their tasks.
- Carry out autonomous maintenance activities according to the work instructions, and following the schedules supplied by the maintenance planner.
- Development of work instructions related to equipment.
- Prepare and communicate shift handover reports to ensure continuity of utilities operations.
- Participate in Technical meetings and escalate issues that could not be resolved during the shift and follow up to ensure gap closure.
- Observe the OSHE standards as per company guidelines
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or any other related field
- Added advantage: Certification in refrigeration and boiler operations
- Two years of relevant technical experience in Utilities Plant Operations in an FMCG environment
