About US:
Kulika Uganda a non-profit making organisation registered with the NGO- Board is a brainchild of Kulika UK which started in 1981. It was founded by Patricia Brenninkmeyer who had been a social worker in Uganda. She saw the need in post- Amin Uganda to give opportunities to bright students to study when much of the academic and institutional infrastructure of the country was non-functional. Patricia had special interest in children and their feeding, hence the start of agriculture to feed the children and educational scholarships, to empower them.
Job Summary: The Project Officer shall be responsible for assisting in the promotion of appropriate skills, product promotion and innovation for improving livelihoods of the targeted individuals and communities. The officer will support the development and implementations of Kulika Uganda strategies and activities within the project area. He/she will define project objectives and oversee quality control of the project.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Implementation and Sustainability Product sales,
- Promotion and Marketing Community engagement and advocacy
- Stakeholders Engagement,
- Networking and Collaboration Documentation,
- Reporting and knowledge management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Micro- finance, entrepreneurship or any other related course
- Three years of work experience in project implementation and management within the NGO sector or a similar sector
- Experience in working with refugee and host communities
- Experience of project development and delivery within short timescales
- Willingness to work in rural areas
