About US:
Law Development Centre (LDC) will provide legal education to lawyers and non-lawyers, undertake research in topical legal issues, contribute to legal reforms, produce legal publications, teaching materials and law reports, and also provide community legal services.
Job Summary: The ICT Technician will provide technical software support to users, maintain and repair various hardware systems, provide network solutions to computer users and install/trouble shoot software applications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, diagnose and trouble shoot technical problems and carry out preventive maintenance of computers.
- Maintain computer software and hardware, network, internet and new computer technology.
- Deliver tags, set up and assist in the configuration of end user desktop hardware, software and peripherals.
- Maintain E-mails, internet, dial- in and local area network access problems.
- Coordinate timely repairs of computer equipment.
- Assist in student data entry.
- To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Systems Administrator/ ICT Officer.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a relevant ICT Diploma with training in Microsoft operating systems and networks, Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
- At least two (2) years’ work experience and/or knowledge of various networking systems concepts including email, firewall, client-servers, network security, network protocols, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot common hardware/software issues.
- Experience with computer and printer maintenance and repair.
- Creativity and innovativeness.
- Ability to embrace change management.
- He/she should be a person of high integrity.
- Results Oriented.
- Effective communication skills.
- Team player.
- Time management.
