Job Summary:   The Finance Manager assists the Country Director in providing effective financial management of all Tutapona activities in Uganda, including budget creation and modification, financial accountability and reporting, the initiation of all online payments, and ensuring compliance with all Uganda regulatory bodies. The Finance Manager will work in close collaboration with the Operations Manager to assist with budget adherence.This position requires commitment to, understanding of and compliance with Tutapona’s Mission and Statement of Faith, as well as all other policies and procedures. He / She will be based in Kampala, but may travel up to 20% of the time to Tutapona field sites



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s degree preferred, in a relevant field, and four years’ related work experience (NGO work experience preferred).
  • Accreditation in CPA or ACCA is an added advantage.
  • Experience working as a finance manager, or project manager, with strong finance oversight required.
  • Advanced knowledge and prior experience using QuickBooks
  • Experience working with donor-funded projects.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with all partners, peers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel frequently to Tutapona field sites. Tutapona ensures that it applies the highest standards in its recruitment and vetting policies across the organization.
  • Candidates are checked for their suitability for working with children and vulnerable adults.
