Job Summary: We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Country Sales Manager. The position holder will report to the Chief Agency Officer and will be based at the Head Office in Kampala.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Formulate and Disseminate sales strategies for the various levels within the sales hierarchy
- Ensure the agency team is located at key regions countrywide
- Evaluate performance across regions
- Develop process improvements to optimize agency sales activities.
- Provide training, coaching, development, and motivate the sales team.
- Provide regular feedback to product development teams to design and develop niche products.
- Ensure full compliance to all statutory and regulatory matters.
- Follow up and closure of all audit and compliance recommendations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an undergraduate degree in Marketing or Business-related course from a recognized university.
- A Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in Insurance will be an added advantage.
- Qualification or in pursuit of ACII from CII UK or Advanced Diploma by Insurance Training College Uganda.
- Holder of a professional qualification (COP, CII or equivalent).
- Eight years of working experience in life insurance, Banking and other financial institutions.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and packages
- Exposure to in Agency Management.
- Ability to drive sales and growth of the Agency network.
- Ability to recruit Agents.
- Ability to have leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple assignments and prioritize effort and resources on high-value, high impact activities.
- Ability to proactively build rapport and work with others.
