Job Summary:   The Business Performance Manager will have functional line responsibility to the Commercial Finance Manager. This role has end to end accountability for Business Performance planning and execution. As part of a small team there is a high degree of self-sufficiency required in the role with direct accountability to help deliver initiatives for various stakeholders, as well as proactively pursuing value creation opportunities for the business. This role will work closely with senior stakeholders including Sales Director, Marketing and innovation Director and Supply Director.

Leadership Responsibilities:

This role has no direct reports but will work closely with Decision support manager sales, Decision support manger marketing and innovation and Supply Finance decision support-BPM.

Work with and engage with commercial Leadership Team to ensure commercial decisions are made with a full understanding of the financial implications.

Working closely with Execs on overall business forecasting, planning and performance.

Work closely with FC team to drive total P&L and Working Capital.

Purpose of Role:

To act as a partner to business to influence the right business decisions to ensure the business meets & exceeds its strategic growth ambitions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Driving Performance management within the organisation with the outcome of value creation by:

• Owning & driving the monthly O&R process to ensure we are driving the right mix agenda and holding tension on other line items to achieve set business IBOs.
• Drive understanding of Over Heads costs plus partnering with the Executive team to own budget monitoring and control.
• Lead Mission delivery through supporting regional teams through divisional profitability analysis and insights with target deliverables in line with set company objectives to guarantee business excellence.
• Drive the weekly performance review meetings to ensure delivery of monthly commitments and support the S&OP process on target setting process.
• Drive daily performance conversation including finding the opportunities and provide insights to commercial teams.
• Responsible for the coordination of the monthly demand BPM process to ensure excellent and timely delivery by engaging all stake holders.
• Providing strategic financial forecasts to drive an effective & efficient business model (Drive business strategy modelling) through coordination with key stakeholders.
• Lead Market annual operating process modelling to obtain an end-to-end view of the financials while coordinating all stake holders to ensure full compliance to set timelines.
• Responsible for group and other adhoc requests including supporting on presentations for board and IRR with close guidance from the commercial finance manager.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must be a graduate, qualified accountant or MBA.
• Three to five years of experience in an FMCG environment in a similar role
• Proven ability to persuade, influence and build credibility cross the functions.
• Ability to work autonomously and engage cross-functionally
• Commercially aware and articulate
• Analytical and logical
• Ability to manage projects, prioritize and work to deadlines
• Flexible and able to adapt readily to a changing environment
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and Financial Modelling skills.
