About ICC:
The International Criminal Court (ICC), governed by the Rome Statute, is the first permanent, treaty based, international criminal court established to help end impunity for the perpetrators of the most serious crimes of concern to the international community.
The ICC is an independent international organisation, and is not part of the United Nations system. Its seat is at The Hague in the Netherlands. Although the Court’s expenses are funded primarily by States Parties, it also receives voluntary contributions from governments, international organisations, individuals, corporations and other entities.
Job Summary: The International Criminal Court (ICC) Kampala Country Office requires the services of suitable drivers on a temporally/ daily basis to be based in Gulu, Kitgum, Lira and Soroti
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivering / collecting documents and cargo in accordance with organisations regulations or procedure.
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is in good mechanical condition and used for non-official tasks.
- Proper care of assigned vehicle by ensuring all accessories therein are properly kept.
- Strict adherence to organisations and traffic rules and regulations.
- Daily check of oil, brake clutch fluid, water levels, tyres pressure, body crashes and brake battery. terminal.
- Regular cleaning of the interior and exterior of the vehicle(s)
- Log all the official trips before and after any assigned mission.
- Reporting the need for service at a recommended mileage which is 5000 to logistics officer.
- Provide safe driving services to staff, consultants, visitors to different destinations.
- Ensuring that the third-party insurance for the assigned vehicle is valid.
- Monthly preparation of the report shared with Logistics officer.
- Performed any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The successfully candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Have a minimum of O Level Education [Secondary Education]
- At least three years of driving experience,
- A valid driving licence for a motor vehicle extended to classes’
- Be committed and time conscious with a clean driving record.
- Have knowledge of experienced mechanical
- Must be well skilled in driving manual vehicles
- Fluent in English
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
