Job Summary: The Senior Manager Marketing and CVM will mainly develop and execute the overall Home Broadband marketing strategy for the acquisition and retention of customers; and grow the value of those subscribers in liaison with the Chief Marketing Officer.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic input in developing the overall strategic direction for Home Broadband.
- Assisting in the development of the HBB business and marketing plan up to the gross revenue line.
- Responsible for determining HBB product and service range, development of such products and ensuring they remain competitive and operationally sound with the market.
- Liaise with Brand and Communications team to develop advertising and brand strategies, execute advertising plans and establish a comprehensive communication plan.
- Coordinate HBB research requirements from primary, secondary research to competitive intelligence.
- Provides analysis of actual market performance against plans and prepares reports appropriately.
- Develops company tariffs and pricing for all existing and for new products and services under HBB.
- Drive the ROI of base management activities through ensuring the provision and continuous improvement of actionable insights, analysis, CVM reports and dashboards together with the CVM team
- Provide input into proposition development process through engagement and provide technical advice on the Base management implications regarding prioritization of specific initiatives.
- Manage delivery of insight for customer base to the rest of the business, including actionable value- and needs-based segmentation linked with competitor intelligence, and market research.
- Analyze commercial impact of BTL programs on HBB product penetration/uptake, ARPU and value churn and conduct operational analysis of base to identify opportunities to apply products and tariffs to maximize value.
- Monitor campaign results, including compilation of periodical activity, budget compliance and feedback reports to design new value propositions.
- Evaluate customer propensities to respond to campaigns and forecast the impact of campaigns ‘on customer usage and behavior.
- Design and develop CVM daily, weekly and monthly dashboard to monitor HBB health and profitability.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the MTN Uganda Senior Manager – Marketing & Customer Value Management job must hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Administration, Commerce or a related field from an accredited University.
- Master’s in business administration, Statistics or Business Computing is an added advantage.
- Five years of experience of marketing or commercial experience in Telecoms Industry
- Three years’ experience in telecommunications and business management with strong understanding of telecommunication industry products and emerging markets
- At least one year of experience in managing customer analytics and business intelligence projects and initiatives.
- Proficient with MS Office application especially Excel and Power Point
- Statistical analysis and machine learning model development
- Business analysis and intelligence
- Customer value management (customer analytics and campaign management)
- Business management training. Performance Management.
- Advanced accounting training and statistical modelling
- Strategic understanding of the Telecommunications environment.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, python and any other data manipulation modules
- Knowledge of the Business Strategy.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Effective Business writing skills.
- Exemplary Planning and Time Management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Must have attention to detail.
