Job Summary: The Relationship Manager – High Networth Individuals will market the Bank’s products and manage Select Banking client relationships through pro-active and consultative approaches with the aim of acquiring profitable new Banking liability and assets business through the creation, development and maintenance of high-quality customer advisory relationships, customer loyalty programmes in the HNI towards the realization of the bank’s mission and vision.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate new business to achieve defined sales targets in liabilities and assets to grow market share in line with the bank’s strategic direction.
- Recommend changes required to meet target customers’ expectations whilst fully in compliance with Bank policies.
- Analyze and monitor market trends, interpret customer requests and provide integrated product solutions to particular customer needs in line with the bank’s policies and procedures and make appropriate recommendations for banks product development.
- Evaluate banks products on a regular basis and make recommendations on the necessary improvements required for the bank to remain competitive in the market as per the banks strategic plan.
- Plan, Review, formulate and implement strategies necessary to acquire and sustain accounts in the HNI sector of the market.
- Review and maintain a comprehensive database of existing Relationships /prospects and establish mechanism for exploring the eco system.
- Evaluate banks products on a regular basis and make recommendation on the necessary improvements required for the bank to remain competitive in the market as per the banks strategic plan.
- Cross- sell and market bank’s products in all sectors of the Ugandan market in line with the defined Select Banking segment, set targets and bank’s strategic objectives and refer non-Select Banking clients to appropriate segments.
- Review applications for credit facility (in line with the Bank’s policy) and make appropriate recommendations/decisions.
- Manage assigned portfolio and monitor the quality of existing relationships on a continuous basis.
- Review and analyze and screen applications for credit based on the Bank’s credit risk procedures.
- Initiate and carry out recovery action on non-performing credit facilities on assigned accounts.
- Prepare monthly activity and performance reports for Head of Select Banking’s attention.
- Participate in the Select Banking and other team meetings.
Key performance indicators:
- Number of feedback to customer complaints provided.
- Customer service delivery index.
- Market Share Growth.
- % of retained customers.
- Quality of Customer Base.
- Size of asset portfolio vs. target.
- Growth of Risk Assets and Liabilities under his/her portfolio.
- Proper documentation of loan cases.
- Prompt loan recovery.
- Reduction of arrears rate (NPR).
- Number of products sold to clients.
- Quality of analysis of cases and report preparation.
- Timeliness & effectiveness in completion of assigned tasks.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any Business-related field.
- Five years of relevant work experience preferably in a banking industry and with 2 years of experience with affluent clients.
- Knowledge of banking operations, policies and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of the bank’s products and services.
