Job Title: Project Accounts Officer
Organisation: The Cookstove Project Uganda
Duty Station: Mukono, Uganda
About US:
The cookstove project is a non-profitable charitable organization dedicated to improving Health, improving the environment with clean cookstoves.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out analysis of payment requests/invoices and reconcile them with expenditure approvals
- Prepare staff payroll and statutory deductions for remittance to relevant authorities
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements
- Maintain filling system of payment documents
- Ensure assets register is updated
- Prepare monthly expenditure reports
- Any other tasks as assigned by the Country Director.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree of Commerce, Business Administration or Accounting and Finance
- At least three years of work experience in the field of finance and accounting with Non -Governmental Organizations or donor funded projects
- Knowledge in use of Accounting Software Applications (Quick books, Tally 9, Microsoft Excel and Power point
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
