Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provision of Actuarial Services to Old Mutual Assurance Uganda by working closely with the Business Entities and other Group Functions to meet their needs. This includes reserving, pricing, product reviews, experience reviews and solvency and capital management
- Conduct accuracy checks, and analyses data to draw conclusions and make recommendations
- Generate actuarial reports on various technical issues to Group Actuary, Senior Management and Board of Directors.
- Accompanies the Senior Actuarial Specialist. Work is checked and signed off by Senior Actuarial Specialist. Carries out technical actuarial work often using complex systems and packages. Checks manipulates and analyses volumes of data and draws conclusions form the analysis. Responsible for technical accuracy and implementation of work. Translates actuarial concepts into client,friendly terminology. Works independently with less supervision than a Junior Actuarial Specialist. May deliver actuarial and consulting reports and advice to clients.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an Honours Degree (Hons): Actuarial Science (Required)
