Bahari Forwarders Limited is a transport, clearing and forwarding company operating within East Africa region with offices in Kenya and Uganda.
Job Summary: The Human Resource Officer will be tasked with the implementation of all human resource policies and guide line managers on day-to-day HR administrative issues as well as ensure industrial harmony maintained within the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to line with various HR-related issues on day-to-day basis.
- Implementation of HR policies within the company Preparing monthly HR reports to management for reviews.
- Manage staff recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
- Implement and manage staff performance system in the company.
- Ensuring industrial harmony by advising on employee relations and address employee grievances.
- Supervise the company payroll.
- Manage staff training and development programs initiated for staff upgrading and development.
- Handle all employee welfare programs as set out in the company rules and regulations
- Manage all health and safety matters in the company.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree or Diploma in Human resource management
- Relevant working experience in the logistics/transport industry in the same role.
- At least five years of experience in human resource practice.
- Certification with the HR practice body.
- Strong interpersonal skills
