Job Summary: The Facilities Assistant III (HVAC Systems) is responsible installing, inspecting, and repairing Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) Systems to make sure all building services and fixtures operate correctly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to assess and/or plan HVAC installations and layouts.
- Carry out regular maintenance and repair of existing HVAC systems and carry out installation of new HVAC systems.
- Inspect and test HVAC systems for safety, functionality, and compliance to standards and regulations.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems, cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Maintain a clean, uncluttered, and safe work environment observing and practicing high standards of health, safety, and environment.
- Lead, mentor, develop, coach, train and appraise subordinates and peers to help them be successful in their roles and to progress in their skills and abilities.
- Develop and implement Monthly Work Plans necessary for executing the above duties and responsibilities and Performance Reports detailing all HVAC Systems within the company.
- Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an Ordinary/National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning with at least Credit Class or Equivalent from a recognized Institution.
- Craft /Advanced/National Certificate in Electrical Installation, UVQF Level II/Trade Certificate in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning or related field.
- The applicant should have General Working Experience of at least Three years. The applicant should have served in the role of installation, service, maintenance, and repair of HVAC Systems in a reputable organization for at least Two years.
