Job Title:  Assistant Engineer

Duty Station: Semuto, Uganda

About US:

Yo Kuku! is Uganda’s tastiest and most affordable brand of fresh and frozen chicken available in Kuku Shops in, Jinja, Mbale, Hoima and Kabale.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify areas requiring maintenance and assign the required resources.
• Coordinate maintenance activities at the slaughterhouse, Feed Mill, and the broiler farms.
• Carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance to ensure minimum downtime.
• Maintain equipment records, prepare monthly reports on equipment performance, and calculating maintenance costs.
• Participate in recruiting and training of new technicians.
• Contribute to the development of maintenance budget, power and diesel and ensure compliance.
• Co-ordinate, schedule and supervise maintenance works performed by external contractors.
• Preparing monthly engineering reports to the management as well and Board of directors.
• Facilitate sourcing of spare parts locally and internationally.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• At least three years or more working in the same field, preferably FMCG.
