About Project:
The WeCare project will provide multidisciplinary support to communities and schools to make informed decisions about their health, to work towards healthy lifestyles and to advocate around health issues and defending health rights. Secondly, the quality of health care and the chain of emergency referral will be strengthened from community up to regional level. This will be realized through direct support to the referral services of different health institutions (selected Health Center III and Health Center IV) to the regional hospital. It will address challenges of quality of care due to lack of essential medicines, supplies, equipment, and infrastructure. Thirdly, the capacities of the district health office, health managers and local authorities will be reinforced through stewardship, participative leadership, coaching and supervision. Lastly, community engagement in the local health system will be reinforced by boosting the organisation and initiatives of existing community platforms and interfaces.
Job Summary: Within this this context, Enabel is seeking to recruit 1 (ONE) Project Manager with expertise in Healthcare Management to manage the domains of the WeCare project, coordinate the different aspects of project implementation as well as to lead a team in the implementation of the project
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for the good execution of the project (content, planning, budget, quality);
- You coordinate the realisation of the activities with a view of achieving the project objectives;
- You support the persons indicated to lead the change process;
- You contribute to capacity development of partner organisations and coordinate the learning process on how an intervention contributes to the development of the sector;
- You lead the team placed under your hierarchical responsibility;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management or other relevant field related to the area of expertise.
- At least five years of relevant experience in steering international development projects;
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Healthcare and Public Health in the Public Sector, Health Care promotion including Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR);
- An experience as team manager;
- Experience in several projects is an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies;
- Thorough knowledge within the fields of quality health services, health promotion and guidelines, SRHR, Gender Based Violence (GBV), gender equality, strengthening community emergency medical services and referral services;
- Monitoring and evaluation competences;
- You are result oriented;
- Considering the working language of Uganda and the international environment in which you work, excellent knowledge of English is required.
