In 1979, our first product was baked giving birth to Ntake bakery. Since then we have grown into a multi sector business comprising of a bakery, wheat mill and paper recycling plant. With household names like Kaswa baking flour, AAA tissue and our bread which has come to be simply known as Ntake, we have endeared ourselves to the hearts of many Ugandans.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of gutters and roof drains, storm drains, and the irrigation systems as applicable.
- Responds to scheduled, unscheduled and preventive maintenance work orders
- Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components.
- Monitors water system performance to maintain system reliability and provides report on any discrepancies to the Supervisor.
- Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing and materials.
- Identify required tools and special equipment.
- Select the type of size of pipes and other materials required.
- Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
- Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment.
- Assemble and install valves and fittings.
- Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls.
- Install, repair and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems.
- Install, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim.
- Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Craft part II Certificate in Plumbing
- At least three years of experience in the same role.
- May be called out at odd hours or have to work long hours in case of emergency
- Integrity, Trustworthy, Respectful and Team Player.
- cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Needs to be flexible and able to demonstrate sound work ethics.
