Job Title:    Night Shift Manager

Duty Station: Kazinga Namanve, Uganda

Reports to: Managing Partner

Job Summary: The work environment is fast paced & challenging. As our workforce grows, we need an experienced & diligent Night Shift Manager to be at the helm!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overall ensure products meet quality, food-safety and efficiency standards and that these requirements are understood and implemented
• Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
• Schedule shift according to production needs
• Support the development of quality and food-safety goals and targets and devise product specifications
• Liaise with production team to ensure quality and food-safety requirements are supported through all stages and when necessary, reject defective products
• Champion health & safety at workplace, including maintaining a pest management system
• Liaise with the supervisors to make sure that laborers sort avocados well.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The Night Shift Manager should hold a Bachelor of Science Technology- Chemistry, Food Science or Agriculture
• At least three years of experience in food production

Skills & experience:

• A desire to be involved in the aspects of fruit and plant care.
• Understand Health and Safety practices.
• Able to work unsupervised with excellent attention to detail skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Have respect for people and different cultures.
• Be able to multitask and work under pressure
