Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Business & Financial Performance
- Function will be responsible for the end to end lifecycle – planning, execution and implementation of the capabilities that fall under all four of these domains. – cash displacement, increase acceptance (Card & payments acquiring, alternate payment experience (Ecobank Pay) & increase revenue
- Grow Consumer to Business (C2B) segment – Delivering the ability for consumers to pay merchants that might not have full electronic acceptance infrastructure, such as sole traders, market stall operators or micro businesses
- Business to consumer payments(B2C)- Enabling businesses with a need to make fast, direct-to-account payments to consumers, such as emergency relief funding, insurance payouts or gift vouchers grow the largest active agency network in country
- International payments: Combining (in one easy to use application) the ability for people to do near real-time payments across different financial institutions and overseas country product sales targets distributed on digital channels and through agency
- Guide the design of the platform from a client/user experience perspective
- Build value based and strategic “win-win” relationships with partners where applicable
Customer Management
- Identify & execute commercial/market initiatives for incremental volume/revenues/ profits
- Ensure the affiliate distribution is optimized leveraging consumer analysis
- Actively pursue opportunities to improve our route to Market, leveraging best practices
- Ensure application of consumer programs designed to enhance consumer brand equity
- Drive horizontal expansion through outlet creation incentive programs
- Ensure high customer satisfaction as measured and monitored through Customer feedback surveys
Leadership & People Management
- Embed the payments/digital/agency distribution agenda in organizational culture
- Provide timely and accurate information on distribution management activities and metrics
- Actively partner with the affiliate head of Cash Management and Business Heads to optimize distribution
Process Control & Operational Performance
- Ensure there is a strong internal control system in place to minimize operational losses and franchise risks and monitor its adequacy and effectiveness
Strategic Initiatives
- Lead strategic initiatives that will position Ecobank Uganda s as ‘wherever, whenever’ preferred provider of banking services from an acquiring perspective
- Implement a loyalty program for merchants and customers that will result massive growth in product sales
