Yalelo (U) Limited is a tilapia fish farm that was established in Uganda in 2019. The farm is located in Butembe, Buikwe district on the shores of Lake Victoria. Yalelo Uganda is a subsidiary of First Wave Group B.V; a Dutch company with a portfolio of aquaculture related assets in Africa. First Wave Group owns and operates Yalelo Zambia, a pioneer of Aquaculture founded in 2011 that has grown quickly to become the leading fish farm in Zambia and among the largest aquaculture farms in Africa.
Job Summary: The Management Accountant is responsible for providing insightful financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting to support decision-making. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact on a dynamic and environmentally conscious aquaculture firm
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Finance, or related field: CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
- Three years of experience in management accounting or in a related role.
- Proficiency in financial analysis. budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of aquaculture in a FMCG Company or related field is a plus.
- Clear demonstration of a sense of urgency and energy in achieving set goals
- Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently or as a team member.
- Strong sense of personal integrity
- Team building, coaching, mentoring, motivating and inspiring.
- Effective Communication between senior management and departmental heads
