Job Summary: Emperor Hotel is seeking a full-time commendable Hotel Supervisor who will support the hotel in its day-to-day operations. He/ she will work closely with the hotel manager and the director to render an efficient and effective execution of duties through the various hotel departments. He/ She will ensure compliance with the Emperor hotel Policies and Procedures, guidelines and rules.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend adequately to customer concerns and ensure their satisfaction.
- Preparing periodic management reports about the current status of operations, business flow, inventory and staff performance and presenting them to management.
- Provide all reliable and accurate information relating to the hotel policies, service portfolio to the stakeholders.
- Ensuring that the hotel is well-maintained by identifying technical concerns and engaging management to schedule repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Coordinating with other departments such as human resources or marketing to streamline operations
- Reviewing guest complaints, concerns, or issues in order to make decisions about how to best respond to them
- Managing the daily operations of the hotel including training, allocating, and supervising staff members.
- Ensuring that guests are satisfied with their experience at the hotel through regular contact with customers
- Overseeing the financial operations of the hotel such as revenue management
- Plan and provide support for the setup, execution and teardown of special events
- Work closely with the supply chain (vendors) as needed to ensure timely deliveries of quality product.
- Resolve any operational problems or conflicts within the work environment.
- Coordinate work flow within the team, prioritizing jobs and delegating duties to associates.
- Monitor and supervise staff to ensure accountability in compliance with department goals
- Ensure that all goals are geared toward exceeding guest’s expectations. Participate in long range planning.
- Demonstrate excellent management techniques and values towards staff and clients.
- Develop and implement guidelines and control procedures for purchasing and receiving of Inventory.
- Establish goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
- Communicate the importance of safety procedures, detailing procedure codes, ensuring employee understanding of safety codes, monitoring processes and procedures related to safety.
- Plan and schedule training of the junior staff on various skills and values important for job performance.
- Demonstrate exemplary character, leadership skills by communicating clearly, professionally and effectively.
- Create a positive team environment and set a superior standard for the provision of a high-end hospitality experience at the hotel.
- Ensure meal and event presentations are consistent, prompt and match the hotel standards
- Plan & manage hotel inventory consumption of all department items necessary to running department operations.
- Support the staff in a professional manner, by creating an environment where they consistently feel valued and respected.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a degree in Hospitality management with three to four (3-4) years of demonstrated work experience as a similar position.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience with inventory management
- Experience supervising and training workers or volunteers attached to the hotel
- Knowledgeable on current hospitality trends
- Strong work ethic and integrity and guest-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a professional, approachable demeanor while working in a dynamic working environment
- Ability to identify and quickly overcome challenges during the day-today operation
- Able to guide and mentor assigned team members to ensure team cohesion is created and maintained
- Ability to track inventories on food, liquor, equipment, and other departmental supplies to maintain an efficient operation while maintaining cost effectiveness.
- Age: Above 35 years
