Hair Stylist/Hairdresser – 1 POSITION
Job Summary: Seeking a professional hair stylist for salon services. Services include cuts, styling, coloring hair, providing hair treatments, providing excellent customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with various hair types (Afro-Caribbean hair, Caucasian hair, care products and understanding different hair requirements,
- Treat clients’ hair with appropriate hair products (e.g. for dry hair, brittle hair);
- Give relaxing scalp, neck and head massage; cut and trim hair using professional equipment; use of curlers, rollers, straighteners, curling irons, and blow-dryer;
- Create hairstyles for different occasions; recommending hairstyles according to the client’s face shapes, current trends and client’s request;
- Acting as a salesperson to sell clients hair care retail products;
- Building a personal relationship with clients to ensure return visits;
- Stay aware of new hair products and latest hair styling trends, techniques and treatments.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum requirements: Secondary school education, Degree/diploma from beautician vocational course
- Two to three years of experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Skilled at working on all types of hair
- Female, preferably <30 years.
