Job Summary:   The fleet manager is responsible for coordinating tasks on a construction site

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining site foreman’s log & site reports.
  • Preparation of daily production records.
  • Reporting on work progress and timely reporting.
  • Completing project quality reports.
  • Worker violation reports.
  • Recommending personnel actions such as hiring, releasing, promotions and discipline.
  • Quality control-accountable for ensuring that the completed work meets quality standards.
  • Planning and scheduling-accountable for following project plans and schedules and ensure supervision of the daily and weekly work activities.
  • Supervise the testing and commissioning of completed works.
  • Process, analyse and interpret reports on loading, labour, equipment, productivity, quality, materials and performance.
  • Analyse risks associated with Safety procedures to be implemented on the works and natural disasters (including fires and floods), and design structures and services to meet appropriate standards.
  • Comply and ensure compliance with safety procedures implemented by the company.
  • Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
  • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Higher national diploma in mechanical engineering, fleet management or training in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • 15 years of experience on international projects carrying out equipment management tasks.
  • Proven ability in training and driving manoeuvring earth-moving equipment like motor grader-scattering and land levelling
  • Good knowledge of motor grader alignment and road finishing, hydraulic excavator demolishing, and transport truck loading.
  • Additional knowledge in technical drawing/CAD, preventive maintenance, topography, basics of electronics and environment.
  • Ability to maintain hygiene and safety procedures at the construction sites
