Job Summary:   Watoto is seeking to recruit a Finance Officer – Bank Reconciliation to reconcile all bank accounts ensuring adherence to polices and procedure in Watoto Church Ministries.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To reconcile bank accounts on a weekly basis in a timely manner, with precision and comprehensiveness of accounting entries.
  • To investigate and report any disputes immediately and ensure outstanding items are resolved with 7-days.
  • To carry out value for money analysis, review bank charges, bank services levied per bank account, dormant account and advocate corrective actions.
  • To assist Internal and External auditors with queries
  • To prepare monthly fully reconciled bank statements and maintain well-kept files of checked and approved bank reconciliations.
  • To guarantee timely feedback on bounced transactions or any discrepancies on the accounts.
  • To work as a bank agent, manage delivery of payment documents to bank and withdrawals.
  • To maintain regular communication with key stakeholders and resolve raised queries in a satisfactory and timely manner.
  • To maintain an Up-to-date accurate records of bank account reconciliation in files.
  • To support in the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as per organisation guidelines to management.

 




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the role should hold at least a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least three years of working experience in a large organization in a similar role.
  • At least Level two of a professional accounting body ACCA and CPA is an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy in MS office applications.
  • Proficiency in an accounting system, knowledge of Solomon is an added advantage
