Reach Out Mbuya Community Health Initiative (ROM) is a Faith and Community-based organization providing holistic care to extremely vulnerable people living with HIV/AIDS. ROM holistically focuses on the body, mind, family, and community wellbeing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive the assigned vehicle in a safe manner and on movement schedules as directed by the supervisor in strict adherence to the laws governing road safety for other motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and passengers.
- Maintain assigned vehicle in good working condition through daily routine checks on battery, water, oil, lighting, etc.
- Keep assigned vehicle fueled, with adequate oil, water, and other lubricants, and account to the supervisor for onward reporting.
- Check logging official trips in the log books.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean.
- Make weekly, or where necessary instant, reports to the supervisor regarding the mechanical status of the allocated vehicle.
- Assist in identifying and carrying out minor motor vehicle repairs keeping charge of the motor vehicle accessories kept in the allocated vehicle.
- Support in loading & and offloading of items at facility, field & and outreach points etc.
- Support and observe the safeguarding culture in the organization regularly documenting and reporting identified and potential safeguarding issues to the HR.
- Ensure health, safety, and security in your area of operation, as you promote the vision, mission, and values of Reach Out Mbuya.
- Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Valid driving license with at least relevant classes such as CH. CM plus A’ level certificate of education
- Certificate in Advanced or Defensive Driving
- A minimum of three years of experience of driving for a living
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
