Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Administration and Management, or any other relevant Accounting discipline.
- Must have a CPA qualification or ACCA, CMA.
- A post graduate qualification in Financial management is an added advantage
- Three years of experience in Accounting role in an NGO or other reputable Institutions.
- Proven ability of successfully reporting and Accounting for multiple grants/ Projects in accordance to donor guidelines and organisational policies Proven ability and experience in preparing relevant books of Accounts in a reputable organisation.
- Ability to develop the skill sets of specified teams
- Sound knowledge of laws and regulations regarding finance and employment
- Sound knowledge of the operational policies and procedures of the organisation
- Ability to confidently hold meetings with high-profile clients, board members and senior management
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to make positive professional relationships as a leader
- Capacity to follow organizational decisions positively and constructively even when not in full agreement
- Hard working, committed and conscientious
- Excellent time keeping skills
- Honest and reliable
- Friendly, approachable manner
- Good interpersonal skills both face to face and on phone or internet Understanding of quality service delivery and ability to put this into practice Ability to work in a systematic manner
- Ability to work both under direction and on own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage other staff according to Redearth Education policies as required
- Confidence in presenting to a range of audiences
- Ability to think critically and to solve problems
