Job Summary: The Senior Marketing & Communications Officer is responsible for providing administrative and execution support for all marketing and communication activities of the Bank.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support and coordination of all the Bank’s communication with media houses, digital, publicity firms and other prospective marketing partners/suppliers of the bank.
- Develop and coordinate internal communications plans to drive employee engagement and manage change support of campaigns, particularly with front-line branch and sales teams
- Build and establish beneficial relationships with Media houses, Advertising and Research agencies etc; in support of the Bank’s corporate image and reputation.
- Take the lead in the coordination and execution of any BANK OF AFRICA in Uganda events/initiatives relating to public relations and corporate social responsibility, ensuring proper coordination of suppliers and participants on the ground, crowd management and security, and brand visibility, among other things.
- Liaise with segment heads and marketing officers in planning and implementing key segment communication plans aligned to the Bank’s business growth. Complete regular briefs about ‘BANK OF AFRICA in Uganda in the news’ and other relevant developments in the financial services market, internal activities, and industrial and economic space that carry informative and educational value.
- Gather all necessary documentation and follow up to ensure accurate and timely payment of communication stakeholders (media houses and related suppliers).
- Provide formally written feedback to all stakeholders seeking sponsorship or donations from the Bank.
- Review logs for advertising ensure accuracy and compliance to contract terms and raise any anomalies for timely redress.
- Stay abreast of industry and corporate developments, events and issues in support of the Bank’s corporate image and responsibilities
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing, Business or related field
- Three years of experience in Marketing with a bias to PR, Communication and
- Media Management.
- Good sense of customer behavior and solid grasp and interpretation of the market
