Job Title:   Senior Education and Training Officer

About US:

The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), established by the Equal Opportunities Act of 2007 is mandated to provide a framework for redressing imbalances, which exist against the marginalized groups while promoting equal opportunities for all.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Education Officer for performing the following duties;

• Designing and organizing training and sensitization programmes;
• Developing sensitization manuals, messages and posters;
• Conducting training and sensitization programmes;
• Evaluating training and sensitization programmes;
• Compiling and submitting periodic report;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time; Person/Job specifications

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Adult Education and Community, Social Works and Social Administration, Development Studies, Community Development or any other qualification in the related field from a recognized university/institution.
• Specialization in special Needs Education or Post graduate qualifications is an added advantage.
• At least three years of relevant working experience at the level of Education Officer in Government or equivalent experience from a reputable organization.
• Education/training management skills

• Good planning, organization, and coordinating skills
• Computer literacy skills
• Ethics and integrity
• Ability to maintain quality standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Team player and ability to network
