Cairo Bank Uganda Limited was incorporated on 11th July, 1994. The Bank was formerly known as Cairo International Bank owned by the three leading Egyptian Banks namely; Banque Du Caire, Bank Misr and National Bank of Egypt. In 2019, it became a fully owned subsidiary of Banque Du Caire (BDC). The shareholder consolidation in 2019 was on the back of expanding its presence across Africa whilst providing an entry point into the COMESA market.
Job Summary: The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees and all their belongings. Also ensuring that bank assets are securely protected by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all security systems are in good working condition and serviced regularly according to schedules.
- Provide guidance on best practice security standards and solutions and maintain a secure environment.
- Conduct comprehensive investigations relating to security incidents and manage scenes of crime and liaise with law enforcers and security service providers.
- Conduct physical security risk assessment for Head Office premises.
- Monitor activities of contracted security agencies and review their performance at regular intervals during the contract period.
- Ensure proper management of all keys and alarm systems of CIB Head Office.
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
- Ensure all access points are secure during working hours.
- Support in energy conservation by ensuring office lights are turned off at night when no activity is taking place.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a High school Diploma or its equivalent. A Cadet Course Training is an added
- At least three years of work experience in a reputable company
- Surveillance and security awareness training background
- Written and Verbal communication
- Following complex instructions
- Interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of security operations and procedure
- Manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of Basic Security and Fire Inspection Procedures
- Computer operation basic skills
